Biodiversity and Ecology
The Campaign Design Sprint
From 22 to 26 April, DE/MO launched the Campaign Design Sprint in Berlin hosted by Public Art Lab in cooperation with the University of Europe.
The 20 participants explored how urgent biodiversity issues can be addressed through creative and cultural strategies.
How can we foster a stronger connection between people and nature?
What steps can we take to reverse the decline in biodiversity and restore ecological balance?
And how can we ensure that our actions support rather than undermine the health of our planet’s ecosystems?
Over the course of an intensive week, three ECHO campaign concepts were developed.
These ideas were brought to life in the following weeks and evolved into what are now known as the ECHO Events.
The ECHO Events
From May 26–28, 2025, the ECHO Events will be showcased at TINCON — a youth-focused festival and conference
dedicated to digital culture, media, technology, politics, and pop culture.

We are not separate from nature — we are part of it.
In this community space, inspired by indigenous practices of respecting all life, we invite the visitors to reconnect, reflect, and imagine new ways of being with the world.
2. Bees of the Night
27 May 2025 @ TINCON, Berlin
Agnesa Lusnjani, Alberto Paniagua, Chaeryung Yoon, Emma De Prà, Godinez, Jagriti Kumar, Karen Natharen
Step into the world of night pollinators and see Berlin through the eyes of a moth. Bees of the Night is a media installation revealing how light pollution confuses, traps, and disorients moths from the flowers they’re meant to find. In a city that never sleeps, this quiet crisis goes unseen, but it’s glowing all around us.
28 May 2025 @ TINCON, Berlin
Ali Khasheei, Elana Dimitrova, Kshitija Gurav, Tananya Saengrudee, Sheeba Toby Mammen, Simge Gökgöz
Re:Moss opens up a space that invites reflection on the fragile boundaries of decay and regeneration. Through sensory interactions, the installation encourages learning, caring and co-existence with the keystone species - the mosses. You can witness how mosses reclaim space. Visitors are invited to take home their own Grow-It-Yourself (GIY) kit to start a journey of green regeneration.
